• You like to eat, right? So do we. We'll feed you. Don't worry, there will be coffee too.
• We meet near Takoma DC so we are convenient to DC neighborhoods like Takoma and Petworth and Maryland cities like Takoma Park, Silver Spring, Hyattsville, Mt. Rainier, and Riverdale Park. We have members in all of these places!
• What "flavor" of Judaism are we? We're the fun kind, we are not affiliated with any particular movements. Our members have preferences that range from Reconstructionist, Reform, Renewal, Conservative to Agnostic and Atheist. The main thing is that we are committed to providing our children with a positive sense of Jewish identity.
  
• We have many interfaith couples who have decided to make Judaism important for their children. We are single parents, LGBTQ+ parents, Jews of color, non-Jews of color. We welcome you. 
• Come visit. We'll find a time that makes sense for your family to visit. Let's see if we're a good fit for your family.
• Honestly, we've been around for 50+ years because Cheder is fun, warm (heymish in Yiddish), and becomes a really meaningful part of your family life.
• It's hard to convey on this website, but our alumni all feel very warmly about their family's time in Cheder. Our alumni still keep in touch.
